Suspension is pretty much like everything else you get what you pay for.
Exactly my point. Some guys think that Ohlins is far superior to KW for their P cars and yet race teams use KW to great success, so street driven Porsches certainly can. If the argument is BC racing coils don't perform as well as KW on the track, does that matter to someone who is never going to track their RCF? If the argument is BC coilovers are trash and will break or fail in even normal street driving conditions, that's something else entirely. Originally Posted by autoz4me

BC are not trash, they're great bang for your buck coils.
BC are from Taiwan, KW are from Europe. Just different quality of engineering.

It comes down to one thing - are the damping rates consistent? If the shocks are dyno'd and you know what they are doing, it doesn't matter who has the label on them, they'll work fine. The problem with most shocks that are not high end like Penske, Ohlins, Moton, Bilstein, is they're inconsistent and the adjustments are crap. If they've been tested and matched, they'll work fine. If you order from the factory, they're not tested and not matched. If you order from someone familiar with suspension tuning they will be, but they'll have to charge more for the testing and matching.
It all comes down to what do you expect?
A fixed rate shock with the correct spring will beat any adjustable unit each and every time. Then it's just a matter of how long will they perform adequately.

I liked the Post. I've had both Ohlins and Adjustable Penske on my Race Bikes and currently run Bilstein 5100s on my Ram 2500 and just thought I'd send my applause! My 2017 RCF runs the Adaptive Suspension and I have absolutely no idea who makes the shocks. I know I love them the way they are, and that's my 2 cents for today! 😁Originally Posted by lobuxracer
