RCF a highway beast
Not trying to derail this at all, but some mustang owners who are into power mods will sweep an RCF. Been helping a buddy of mine rebuild his coyote. He bought some EL Headers, new cams, phaser lockouts, new ported heads, and has the cobrajet manifold. hes running e85 too. Weighs about 3500lbs and is estimating 600WHP on a NA setup. which is insane!
Pick your fights! congrats on the W against that c6!

Mustang GT guys are the most persistent. They inevitably have headers and loud as hell. I've yet to be overtaken by a mustang from the line or on the highway. For the most part they don't know what they are dealing with and I've had more than a couple say that they thought the RC F was a six banger, nothing to take seriously. Always amusing when you see them in the rear view... My experience with vettes is older white-haired retired guys, tooling around and no interest in taking a run at me, with a few exceptions.
I agree with you guys that RCF pulls really hard when you are up in the rpm range. I do a lot of fast highway driving on German "Autobahns". While it is not about racing with other fast cars, it is amazing, how many times I pulled away from cars following me at an already decent speed (110 miles/hour)-the car just wakes up once you hit 6000 rpm and soon my tachometer reaches 150 miles/hour. It is this type of driving, where RCF really excels. It pulls much stronger from mid range than my previous Panamera GTS (V8 4.8 L NA engine) ever did. Of course, you need to be careful, you do this in dry weather mostly, as the rear hooks up even at those high speeds. Perhaps this is also attributed to my winter tires (Pirelli Sottozeros) as I bought the car just a month ago, so I'm looking forward to compare the sensation later in the spring with new summer radials. But all in all, a very impressive car. I started calling it Godzilla in disguise.
Thanks for sharing your experience on Autobahn. It must be a lot of fun to have no speed limit.
You should get a full aftermarket catback exhaust and it pulls very noticeably harder at 6000+ rpm.
