Default Help! Replace sport ****

So I lucked out on my CPO 2015 RCF with 8k mikes. Literally brand new... besides one thing.. the sport **** is all scratched, and I want replaced.

so part department quoted me at 300 something, another dealer quoted me at 6-7 hundred something.. lol. I thought we could just replace that ****. But dealer is telling me there is no part number just for the ****. So I need the order the enter unit... I’m not doing that...

does anyone have any info on this part or anything I can do to bring it back to life? Or buy something aftermarket?

Spending that much for the **** is silly. Have it professionally wrapped or painted if the scratches bother you that much.

Congrats on your purchase! Enjoy.

I have the same issue, and have also found that the **** isn't removable (at least not without excessive force which I’m not willing to exert)

Personally i wouldn’t even pay $30 for it... I’ll be using that **** so much to put the car in Sport S or S+ mode, you’ll have new scratches in no time!! Driving in ‘normal’ mode is just a bit boring.

Probably that’s what the previous owner did. =)

nah man, I mean you’re right about using it a lot. But I’m the type of guy that likes to keep all my
things absolute Pristine condition haha. I’d use it, but I’d know how to use it so I wouldn’t scratch it and make it look like it’s been dragged along the ground while driving lol.

I use the **** all the time and can't imagine why it'd be scratched unless I had a ring on that hand.

Tried to check lexuspartsnow but can't for the life of me find where that **** WOULD be if it was available for sale hah.

Just use some fine emery paper and polish or a bit of fake carbon fibre wrap.

So my dealership replaced the **** for me today at no charge. It was always something I mentioned before even taking delivery, they just always worded it like it was impossible. But hey, they did what they had to do to make a customer happy!

Maybe that swapped it from another car hoping someone else wouldn't care or notice?
