Has anyone fitted their RCF with the Navtool universal CarPlay module? I’d really like some direct feedback from somebody that’s actually used it and installed it in an RCF. Thanks

 

agree, really want carplay. only familiar with the beatsonic option

Hello - thanks for jumping in. That looks to be for android but the principle should be similar. First question, is have you spent any real time with a standard Carplay/Android auto system? Meaning do you understand how it works and then of course, can you call this - the same, inferior or superior to the standard product? Is this a kludgy workaround or a convincing copy?

 

Forgive my ignorance, but on another Thread here, a Member stated that once the Android Auto Beatsonic system is painstakingly installed, you lose all control of your Audio System via the Steering Wheel Controls? Does this other option retain them, or similar loss?

* Disregard: just looked thru the spec sheet on this unit which states one can use Wheel Controls for some functions AND even gives you Mobile WiFi and some other cool features for $550.
