Q1 = "Quarter" I AssUme?

I actually thought the best day was "The Lexus December to Remember Day"...OR

Although it has been used back in the the 1950s and 1960s, the slogan is still powerful enough to convey its history and brand image.

If a dealership believes this is the only car for you, they will wait for you to break down and take their original offer, after all they know you want this car! If they believe they have some competition, then they may believe they will lose out with you going somewhere else.

When I bought my '15 RCF, I told the dealership that I might instead buy a newer RC-350 F, or just wait until another RCF comes on the market, (maybe not from their dealership). They did have the car I wanted, but I never let them know! When they knew I had other options, (and it appeared that I was willing to wait,) the price went down.

I would say, be patient and keep looking. It might take a few months, but you might end up finding a lower mileage with more options for similar or lower price.

It took me about 10 months to find the right RCF for myself and I am happy I got the most perfect combo. Prior to that, I had negotiated with 2 other sellers that were not as "ideal" as the one I got. I was just not in a hurry to buy one.

I will give an example. Just weeks before I decided to buy the one I own, I was negotiating with a Lexus dealership in another city over a demo model (which I went to check out) that looked exactly like mine (carbon, TVD, Molten Pearl etc.), but double the mileage (28,000 km) and had two damaged wheels. Even after negotiation, he was not willing to come down to what I ended up paying for my car (despite me telling them that two wheels needed fixing and the mileage was too high). I decided to pass on that one and then a few weeks later, I was able to get a 14,000 KM RCF with everything the same, but for a few grand less than what I was able to negotiate for the dealership RCF.

Edit: found video of it. It was this one. This demo model had two damaged wheels. So glad I passed on it.

Dude, that's a great video! May I ask which platform you made it in?

Some of the transitions looked like the GoPro one I have. Super job!

(Good story too!)

LOL.... It was made by the dealership to showcase the RCF. It was the same demo model they used, which I was negotiating for. Interestingly and had two scuffed wheels, I found exactly identical to that in my city (but, with half the mileage and perfect condition) and ended up buying this one.

Keep looking and I'm sure you will find a better deal. FYI... I bought 15' 25k miles Sports Package (TVD/CARBON) Mark Levinston and clear vinyl protection on carbon and front end for 45k OTD.

I actually think all the sharing helps a prospective buyer determine what is available out there, keep the stories coming.

OP, I'm also in AZ and I made an offer to a dealer a few months ago and they also turned me down stating that it was one of only 3 used RCFs for sale in AZ at the time and they wouldn't budge a penny. It was a 2015 with everything except perf pkg, ~9k miles asking $51k. Just wait, something will pop up.

I think that's going on with this car. I honestly just think they wait for a dummy to come by and pay way over KBB. I still think it's bad business.....I worked in sales, and while I wouldn't take lowball offers, I'd take fair offers almost instantly......hard to beat cash on the table.....saves me advertisement costs

My local dealer just sold their brand new 2016 for 53K. Used should be considerably cheaper.

Listen to what Gunny said, Everybody has their OWN story, some you can believe some Not Sooooo Much! I have a 2015' Blue Mica that just turned 5k miles that's NEVER seen rain or ANY track & I wouldn't sell it for less than 55k, it Has the Premium Pkg. but I don't have ML (but I don't have it for sell) but then again EVERYTHING is for sell, right!

Was you NOT in the market, anymore info would be helpful about the car, ML, TVD, Color?
