At this rate, it will be $35,000 in a year, and low $30s in 18 months. They're getting to a weird spot where soon eight or nine year old ISF's will be more expensive. This doesn't make sense to me considering the RCF is a much better car in every way. Although, the ISF is limited in number, whereas they're still making more RCFs.
Huh? 2008 - 2009 ISF sell for around $20K CAD with over 100k miles where I live.

When I was purchasing my RCF, there was a fully optioned out white 2013 ISF CPO with 20k miles available for $16,000 cheaper. As a search on CARMAX, this difference is fairly consistent across markets. Though, ISF has the advantage of 4 doors, which is a deal breaker for some people in the case of RCF (as it was for me before I finally saw a baby seat in the RCF),

Depreciation is not linear. High end sports car depreciate the most in the first 2 - 3 years. Then, the rate starts to flatten out. Though, German cars plummet harder after 4 years once warranty is up. Because of the Lexus quality, refinement and reliability, Lexus cars seem to stabilize quite a bit in the 4th year onwards like ISF, which has maintained its value well despite being out of warranty.

Yes, this is so true.

Just the tires (the correct ones) will set you back at least $1200 +/- (plus installation and/or an alignment. I always get an alignment when I change my tires).

Brakes will set you back around $800+/- per axle installed (depending where you get them done at.).

The above are just WEAR ABD TEAR items. If there are any defective items out of warranty, then it's going to cost you even more.

Sometimes it maybe better to go with a Lexus L Certified/CPO. You will not only get the peace of mind with all above wear and tear items replaced with OEM or better, but also UNLIMITED MILEAGE WARRANTY (limitations may apply). It all depends on the price IMHO.

I would proceed with extreme caution.
