After Like A Year Of Looking, Finally Dove In
With my 15 IS 350 lease ending this March, I spent a good part of the last year searching for my next ride. I decided early that it was going to be a Lexus F line; however, I just wasn't sure which one.
Originally, I fell in love with the IS F, and while it was probably the most practical car, I just could not give up on some of the technological advancements that I had grown used to in my IS and that the RC and GS had.
I spent some time test driving lightly used and certified RC Fs and then got a feel of the GS F as well. I started getting pricing on these certified RC Fs about 2-3 weeks ago, and quickly realized that the monthly payment for buying them would be only slightly less than leasing a new RC F. By leasing again, I could also get Lexus to waive the last 3 payments for my IS 350 lease. It was a no brainer.
Out With The Old...
...And In With The New!
This 2017 is almost fully loaded except for the Performance Package (MSRP of 76,909) and has the White Exterior/Black interior color combo. I picked it up on 12/31 to take advantage of the December to Remember. All said and done, I will be paying about $940 for a 3 year/36k mile lease that was truly $0 down. Could I have done better on the deal? 10 days in and I am absolutely loving this car. Looking forward to taking a deeper dive into the RC F section of the forums!

I have this exact same car and color combo..bought December 12th.....my MSRP was in the 74K range so you must have something additional I didn’t get! All in with the rebate and another discount, I was at about $63K before tax title etc...absolutely love it....I am having a hard time not spinning the wheels as it has so much power!! Congrats...

Looking Sharp.
Like you, I looked for about a year during 2015 ever since its introduction, but Lexus dealerships were not willing to discount much at the beginning. Then RCF inventory started to pile up and discounts started to be common towards the end of 2015 and that's when I picked up an Ultra White RCF!

Congrats! I totally agree with the out-dated tech but still thinking of getting an ISF to replace my GS350 as my daily. I can live with the outdated tech as long as the performance is there plus has the larger backseat area vs. the RCF backseats which is better for family. Ideally, I would have just gotten a GSF if they were out back when I got my RCF but I really like my RCF

Yea I know it is totally first-world problem, and no doubt a 4 door would have been more practical, but I don't think I could go without Blind Spot Monitoring again. I think I have developed some bad habits there. That and the summers here are HOT so the vented seats are needed lol.

Well, I was completely spoiled once I went to my first 2011 Lexus ES350 which was loaded (having heating/cooled seats). Pretty sure there were so newer ISFs w/ heated/cooled seats during that time...not sure about BSM. Once I went to Lexus, very hard to go to any lower level interior quality vehicles (bar is very high now)...haha.
