Default Anyone have Rock chips in the inner fender paint?

This drives me so crazy. My paint is flawless with 0 rock chips and swirl marks. When I am detailing my car, I see rock chips in the inner fender of both my front. I have ppf on these fenders, but they do not wrap around the edge into the thin strip of paint near the fender guards. I am wondering if my installer did a poor job on the ppf? Is the ppf suppose to stop at end of the panel or is it suppose to wrap around the panel in to the edge? Here is a picture. Does this drive anyone crazy or is it just me? Car only has 5,000 miles and at this rate, the strip of paint will be discolored from all the rock chips!
