Default Stop making RC 350 F

Why did Lexus discontinue the RC 350 F? What years were they manufactured?

I have the RC 350 F sport and it was purchased in 2015. I did not see a 2017 RC 350 F as I was thinking about rolling my lease to a new one. Has the price gone up?

Thanks. I am probably going to buy out the lease as I really enjoy the car. I had several SC400s and sold the last one (1999) when I bought this car. I really loved the SC400s and is too bad they discontinued that body style. RC 350 F sport pretty nice.

There never was an RC350 F. The RCF is a totally different animal then the RC 350F Sport, and both are in dealer showrooms.

I have the RC 350 F Sport (2015) @ 306HP. Doesn't the 2017 model have a different engine?

same motor as the previous models (though a turbo 4 was introduced, that isn't an RC350 that is an RC 200T)

I wouldn't mind an 8 speed RWD RC with 87 octane gas and a small engine. I drive 180 miles a day, the whole 15mpg thing is killing me at $3.50/gallon.

15mpg? damn I get 21 mpg average in my RCF and I drive 60ish miles per day.. I see 340 -350 miles per tank with 15-16 gallons at a fill.

Yeah the 17 gallon tank really pisses me off as well. Why is it that the 911 can be optioned with a 24 gallon tank like ferrari, etc. At least 20 gallons would have been nice.

You are getting only 15 mpg with your RC350 F Sport?? I can get much better than 15 mpg without driving it like a Pruis. "Normal" driving I get about 21 mpg with my RCF. If I really drive it like I stole it, I can still manage around 18 mpg. I guess if I track it (which I don't) I guess I'll get less mpg. But only 15 mpg with your RC F Sport??? Must be some crazy stop and go Los Angeles traffic where the traffic is all jammed up for hours at a time?

This is another example of how the public is confused about "F" versus "F Sport" versus "F Sport Turbo as in the RC 200 F Sport Turbo" or whatever "F something".

One thing is in our favor is that not too many people out in the public knows exactly what the true Lexus "F" cars are. So some may think why paying almost twice for the RCF versus the RC 200 Turbo? Therefore, I think that is partly why Lexus true "F" cars are not selling as well as Lexus HQ wanted. Hence heavy discounts when the inventory piles up. This is EXCELLENT for us who are in the know.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Am going to buyout my lease and own my RC 350 F Sport (is that the right designation?) outright in August. I get around 17MPG in the city and 27MPG on the highway. Is that about right? Also, what is the difference in the sport mode+? Is it just the higher RPM shifting or other things, ie: suspension. Thanks.

I've never been a big lease person, I was just wondering though if you've lost all the value of the car or is it better to actually buy one when the lease ends? I would think if you decide to buy it after the lease you'd be paying waaaaaaaaaay more than you would if you'd just bought the car to start with. I don't know if it depends on how long your lease is, whether it's 2-3-4 yrs. but I would think even after it ends you'd still owe more than it's actually worth? jw
