I just got my wife a 2017 Lexus is350 and I was wondering,if the navi screen could fit the rcf the screen itself seeing the same size is the rcf I measured both and they are the same size and the dash is almost the same I wonder if the wires are the same any inputs...

 

I wonder the same thing. I'm in to find out is someone knows to.

 

The screen on both just pulls toward you and out. And unplug it. You may be the only one right now that has both in their possession. Find out it if looks the same and if it is unplug it and see if the resolution automatically orients itself.

 

The plugs are probably the same but like you said. It'll be the software that might be the issue with resolution. Split screen function.

Right now. Ours pretty much does 50/50 split. But on the larger screen models it's like 60/40. Does the new IS screen split 50/50?

Are we interested because it would be an upgrade to the stock rcf screen?

 

I would like to change the screens from car to car but what if I damage the screen after plug in is over 2000 for the screen

 

anyone find out if thats possible? if its compatible. Interested in even how much it would cost if bought bigger screen from dealer and had them install it.

 

Definitely interested in how this turns out...I would check the software version on the new IS compared to the RC. If they are close or similar naming scheme then the new screen might just work fine. Otherwise if its completely different versions then as someone suggested the software might not realize it has a larger screen to use.

 

Will the new screen even Fit into the dash?

 

I measure the screen on both cars and they are the same size but I'm not sure about the software wether they will split the same or u have to change the SIM card maybe it will work I'm going to try it.......
