Getting a used RC F around this time
Hi everyone,
Do you guys think that right now is a good time to get a used RC F? Some of them seem to have gotten a lot cheaper. Seeing some in the mid 40ks.

I'd say go ahead and pull the trigger. I'm sure you could find one in the low $40k range by negotiating hard.

I was shocked when I asked for an oil change qoute... i though it would have been double but it was around ~$110. For a Lexus dealer I thought that was cheap. But they want $150 to program my card key.

Usually (I confirmed my last misadventure getting my RCF 10K milea service where they over filled my motor oil by at least one quart) they have the least experience and lowest paid person doing the oil change. This phenomenon is NOT unique to Lexus dealers. I also had personally confirmed by asking in person while getting my MB's serviced at MB dealers. The person changing my oil at one of the MB dealers is nick named, the "oil sucker" because per MB protocol they "suck out the oil via catheters" (except AMG models )
So the guy who programs your keys or have anything to do with the computer Techstream or whatever requiring a password to log into the service machine at the dealer usually had been there for sometime. That person had advanced to where he/she is now (somewhat a cushy position ) and with great experience. You are paying for "that guy/gal" with "experience " which as with most cases/persons with "experience " is not cheap.

I looked at RCFs in the last two weeks. The market appeared to be stabilizing. The sweet spot appears to be $52k to $53k for 2015s with 10k to 15k miles. Many are asking more. I don't think a decent example will go into low $40Ks as people will gobble them up at that price. The RC F is tremendous deal at $52k. Best deal out there IMO for what you get. Insurance company gave me $54.9 for mine with 33k miles and it was in average to rough cosmetic condition which they had on the appraisal.
2017 RCFs. . . I had zero luck calling around trying to get a deal on a 2017 any where including California, Florida, Texas, Atlanta and here. I got a much better deal and deeper discount on my 2017 M3 than I could get anyone to quote me on 2017 RC F.
I called about 5 or so new 2016s listed on cars.com and every single one of them had already been sold. I just stopped calling about the 2016s. Even my local dealer had one listed on its website that was no longer there.
