Fuel tank capacity
My trip computer indicates 5 miles left but the pump tops out around 14.8 gallons. Tried at different gas stations with same result. Lexus indicate 17.2 gallons. Is there a 2 gallon reserve after reaching 0 miles left?
Is everyone else experiencing the same or is it just me?

I drove 31.1 miles past the 0 miles left and the tank took 16.8 gallons. So if 17.2 is what Lexus says I would believe it, yes the car has approx. 2 gal. reserve past the computers estimate.
normal fill when the low fuel light comes on is between 14.5 - 15.5 gallons.
yes I know driving with the fuel that low is bad for the pump, I purposely drive the tank dry on all my new cars at least once, so I can know exactly how far I can go past the computers estimate.

well for the mpg the car gets, the tank is the right size.
most manufacturers size the tanks for cars to get around 250-300 miles per tank.
my 2012 Camaro SS had a 19 gallon tank and I averaged 240 miles per tank, the RCF has a 17 gallon tank and I average 280 miles per tank.
I can go back 20 years worth of vehicles I have bought and all of them manage 250-300 miles per tank with tanks ranging from 12 gallons to 21 gallons.
