Quote: Need to get 60 ft in low 1.9x
Did you do burn out to warm up the tires? Lower tire pressure to gain traction?
Tire pressure was lowered to 32lbs most of the time. I always go around the waterbox and do a quick spin of the tires to clean them off before staging. When staging, I creep real slow after the first light to just barely light up the second. The DA in most of the runs was 1500 or more. Drag radials are next on the list as soon as the PSS wear down a bit more. Hoping to get below 12.5.

From my previous car, stock 370z 332hp, there is a huge difference between doing a burnout and quick spin or running with cold tires. With just a quick spin, my 60' is always in 2.xx and 13.5 sec 1/4 mile. With a smokey burn out, 60' drops to the 1.9x and my 1/4 mile drops to 12.9-13.1
In cold weather >70 degrees, summer tires like pss has no traction unless warmed up, hence burnout to make it sticky.
Will post my results soon

Quote: to be fair...thats also the best prepped track, maybe, in the world. EKanoo owns it and has used it to break various records in different classes. they just broke the GTR record with a 7.2X pass which is over 2 tenths faster than what AMS has run in the states.

unfortunately, dragtimes.com's database is down so i cant find the real world times from various owners.

the track is not owned by ekanooracing, it is owned by bahrain international circuit.. All his times are legit.

ekanooracing just sponsers the drag event weekly.

Did 5 runs total and 12.83 was the best time. Disappointment is an understatement.
I did standstill burnouts twice, then with mode in sports+ and manual with traction off, it wouldn't engage into 1st gear. The dash displays "slippery surface detected, can't start in 1st gear". Wtf? What's the point of electronic nanny in "expert race mode"?!

That has happened to me twice when doing just a quick spin! Really frustrating! You have to hold down trac off then it shouldnt be a problem.

Hmm..interesting. So have any members gotten quicker than 12.8 out of the RC-F yet?

Seems like 12.8-12.9 is the limit so far for the RCF?

I ran a 12.7 with a corrected time of 12.3 just with the exhaust system. Once spring comes, I'll head back to the strip and see what the headers and maybe a tune will do for me.

Tucker how do you get a good launch. Even on a slow roll out the car just lights up the tires with our setups we both have....

It may be depending on how well the drag strip is prepped, I usually brake torque at 2K RPM and ease into the throttle. On the regular roads, no way I would be able to do that, I would spin the tires like crazy. I am also riding on ****ty tires also, lol. New setup coming soon though.
