Considering The RC F
My problem with BMWs is the design. They design them to be aesthetically just a "car". The RCF and the GTR are works of art IMO. The lines of those two are beautiful. When I bought my ISF I could have gotten an M4 or an AMG. I was even looking at an Evo X at the time. Those cars are better than the ISF in terms of measurable but I LIKED the ISF the most out of all them. My advice is go test drive the GTR and then choose which car out of all the ones you're looking at makes you the happiest. Don't look at performance or how you think the car will make others feel about you, pick the car YOU want because YOU want it.

After re-reading this I realized it sounds like I'm saying "Don't give a **** about performance!" What I meant is don't look at the measurabels, you are clearly looking at performance cars. Just don't get caught up on Ring times like many do. Sure the ISF isn't the fastest 4 door sedan out there but it made me the happiest (close second goes to the Evo
)

I was never looking at an RCF. I was looking at the C63AMG, M3, Evo X, and ISF. Unlike the OP I needed and still need a 4 door car and wanted a performance model. Within the next year or two I will trading in the 4 door for a 2 door and will more than likely go for the GTR, unless something really blows me away. I'm a huge fan of the GTR personally so I can't see me going for anything else, although I do really like the RCF.
Well, after much deliberation between the M4 and RC F, and endless Internet research, I purchased a 2015 RC F tonight. Here are the specifics:
USB
Black Leather Package
Premium Package
Performance Package
Nav/Mark Levinson Package
The car is up in Bremerhaven and won't be delivered until Jan 15, so I'll post up some pics as soon as I take delivery. Looking forward to an awesome summer!

I would have to say cabin presence/comfort and the overall exterior styling. When I went on my two test rides in the M4, I was impressed with the engine performance and handling, but it didn't feel right. It felt like I was sitting too high and the seat bolsters were bothering me. During the next few weeks, I'm on the M4 forums reading how great the M4 is, and I was drinking the Koolaid. I all but made up my mind that I'm getting the M4, but I wanted to address the seat/visibility issue I was having. So I asked my CA if I could spend some time in a Demo M4 adjusting the seat lumbar, bolster, and height settings. I was able to get comfortable and had all but made up my mind that I'm getting the M4, despite my internal heart strings tugging at me to get the RC F. When I left the BMW dealership I thought I should stop by the Lexus dealership to compare with the RC F while the M4 setting was still fresh in my mind. I arrived at the Lexus dealership 15 minutes later and asked my SA if I could sit in the showroom RC F. From the second I sat down, my mind was changed, I'm getting the RC F. The RC F just feels right, the cockpit presence, seat feel, just the overall ambiance. Whereas the M4 is just so bland to me.
Additionally, I just love the styling of the RC F, but of the 50+ videos reviews/articles I watched/read, not one put the RC F ahead of the M4 in performance. And that was weighing heavily on me, I didn't want to spend $70K - $75K on a second place car. I guess this had to more to do with machismo, than anything else. But luckily, it finally hit me, something inside me said "f@*$ the M4, get what YOU want, not what auto media wants you to get."
After signing the papers and on the ride home from the dealership, I thought I would have buyer's remorse, but nope, just a big smile, both externally and internally. I know I made the right decision, for ME!

Best decision I've made in 2015! Cheers mates!
Wait until you get it, your smile will get bigger. I caught flak from a few people about how much I spent on a car that was "slow" but I am not the least bit sorry about my purchase and fall more in love with it the more I drive it. I put 1200 miles on mine in 3 weeks

Thanks, and glad to be part of the community.

Good decision. I don't know why the media has been so harsh on this car. Was their benchmark the LFA? They all paint it in such a terrible light, but don't give enough praise for it's merits. Plus these guys all reference from a track perspective and I think that is missing the mark of what this car is. Yes, competent on the track but you can mod it to your liking if that's what you want to do so it performs better. But for a daily road car, it's a great balance. Again, congratulations. I really wanted USB, but wanted the gray interior...
People just love to talk ***** and not give credit where it's due. How the heck can somebody say the RC F is slow. Oh wait, they can because jealousy just kicked in. #haters
