Default New Rotor Damage Concerns

Hello Everyone,

I asked for some advice in the below thread, and got some helpful responses. Thank you.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rc-...-with-new.html

I went ahead and ordered a set of 4 Brembo rotors from Rock Auto. I was out of town this week when they were delivered, so my wife brought them inside. WHen I got back I immediately noticed teh boxes looks pretty rough. The rotors did have some bubble wrap, but not all the way around. There was at least 1 side of each rotor box that contacted the shipping box. I did pull all four rotors out and I don't see any visible damages such as dents or gouges.

Should I be worried about any damage to the rotors before I install them? Is higher than spec run out a possibility? I don't want to spend the time installing new brakes to find out there is an issue. If I am being paranoid just let me know.

Thanks.

Nah it's pretty difficult to damage rotors in shipping plus that looks to be packed pretty well. Now radiators not packed correctly that's a whole other story with Rockauto...

No way those are super strong rotors.

Those are fine.

Could the box be packaged better for the weight of the rotors inside to avoid the outside box getting smashed? Absolutely. The height needed for a fall to potentially even slightly damage a solid chunk of iron rotors would also completely decimate the box. So it would be really obvious is what I'm trying to say.

Appreciate the reassurance. These are beefy rotors, not Yaris size, so I agree they should be OK.

Thanks again.
