Default New RCF lease?

Anyone here ever lease an RCF? How much were your payments? I’m getting a lot of conflicting info from the dealer.

first they tell me they don’t remember what the payment was. It’s been a while. Maybe $1800 a month lease price. That sounds like BS. They also say a lease on an RCF like never happens. Also saying they can’t get a blue RCF with red interior.

It's December and there hasn't been any announcements about continuing the RC platform into 2025 yet. You're basically looking to lease a fairly rare car in probably its last model year, in the last month of that year. I'd say you're pretty much stuck with whatever color/package combos are left in stock. I just did a quick nationwide search on the common car websites of new RCFs, and there's only less than 30 still available. Only found one that's blue, but has a black interior.

Don't know much about leasing, but I'd assume the dealership would work with you on that. If they're being dumb, then just find a different dealership.

Leasing is more favorable for new MY cars since the residual values are generally higher than end of MY cars. Higher residual value=lower lease payments.

In a perfect world with prefect car maybe $1000-1100 is ideal. But there’s nothing perfect about leasing an RCF. Nothing.

Residuals suck, interest rates suck, no incentives and the list goes on.

Leasing makes sense if the car is registered under a business where you can deduct the costs (vs. a capital investment and depreciation)

i did in 2015 so not sure how applicable the info is but here it goes.
1. 48 months, 10 000 miles at money factor of 0.00175
2. Money factor x 2400 worked out to be 4.2 ( not bad I think)
3. First model year car so ended up playing sticker around $81k
4, I wanted ultra white with red interior and performance package and mark levinson system, they got everything except red interior - to this day that’s a regret
5. Residual value was like 55 pct or something so was like 42/43 I think
6. Monthly lease payment was $1196 with I think 0 down

Your money so ofc do want you wish but if I could give you advice:
1. Don’t lease esp if plan to keep the car longer than lease term, cuz when you finance afterwards, ur paying more. Just finance outright if they have a promo or a credit union gives good rate
2. Don’t settle for what they have in terms of Interior color. You will have that regret everytime you get in or see one with the color combo u like
3. Pay attention to the residual payment and money factor etc. They play lot of games with leased cars. It’s still financing at the end of the day
4. I am not sure how old u are and your financial situation but unless you are really comfortable, skip brand new RCF, nothing has drastically changed for that car that you can’t buy aftermarket. Buy a used one from reputable place with the color combo and goodies you like and invest the rest of the money. If I could go back in time, that’s what I would tell the 20 something me.

Best of luck! Do give us an update on what you ended up doing!
