Default New Bazooka exhaust from RR Racing?

https://www.rr-racing.com/RR-Racing-...cfbazooka2.htm

Bazooka R2 exhaust for the F. Does anyone have any additional information on what exactly was changed? Is the old version still offered? Are there mods on the car that was used for the sound clips on the site?

Also does anyone have this exhaust? Would you recommend it? It's installation just plug and play or was it a bit more difficult?

@RRRacing

Thanks!

I think the tips are new—they look bigger and fill out the exhaust cutout better than the old ones that looked too small and too long.

According to the comments in the video on their site, the RC F in the video has headers too—is this accurate @RR-Racing? Seems quite misleading if so...

I am about to buy an exhaust so awaiting some info on what's new here and want a to hear an RC F with only this exhaust before pulling the trigger.

So we are always trying to improve our exhausts, and yes the tip placement is better than before and actually each tip is mounted on a ball clamp so you have ability to adjust angle and alignment as you like.

The red RCF in the video has headers, but just last week we posted a video of an IS500 with stock manifolds… please check out our Facebook page.

The main difference between headers vs OEM is the loudness, but that’s hard to capture in the videos.

not sure what you are referring to, but if it’s in relation to power, I don’t think that’s what us being asked here, this is about sound difference with headers vs without.

BTW, I see you asked about install. It’s very straightforward. You will need to run one wire from the trunk, along door sill, to the drivers side footwell where it will plug into the OBD port. OBD port is used to get the engine speed signal for auto switching quiet-to-loud mode @3000 rpm.

Can you post a link to the IS500? Couldn't find it on Facebook and like to hear it before I order. Thanks!

Here is the video of the new Bazooka 2 with OEM headers.

Here is the video that was posted with headers and supercharger. Same system on both cars.

Is the OBD2 port wire necessary to plug in? Can I leave it unplugged?

It needs to be plugged in to communicate with the module for the valves to open close dynamically. It reads OBD data to control the valves.

I think he is asking if the valves would stay open or closed if left unplugged.
