Default Scraping noise and slippage

Hi, I have 2015 rc350 with the 8 speed. Recently I got my trans fluid changed around 72k miles. It was slipping a little in 5th which is why I did it. Took it to a Toyota dealership to do it.

Fast forward to present day, I'm hearing scraping (not grinding) noises from the transmission when changing gears from 2-3 and 3-4 in manual mode. Rarely in 4-5, but no noise in other gears. Slips sometimes in 3rd/4th in normal D selection. Any ideas on what this could be? Drove around 500 miles to get the trans used to the new fluid already. Didn't notice until I rolled the window down, can't really hear it with the windows up.

check that there is no leaks. I did a trans fluid change myself and haven't had any issues. Something may be wrong with your trans

Bring it back to that dealer. Next time, go to a lexus dealer. You drive a lexus, not a Toyota.

The fluid level in your transmission is probably incorrect. Hopefully there isn't any serious damage. But based off how you're describing the noise, you have damage.

I wish my Lexus dealer would provide this service. I recently tried to get them to do a transmission fluid service. They would not touch it. They stood their ground that it's a "lifetime fill". I've never met a dealership before that wouldn't take my money.

Currently the car drives perfectly fine, the noise is more like a clutch scratching. No noise on light to medium throttle, hard throttle exhibits the noise between 2-3 and 3-4

Original Toyota dealer said it was normal and tried to pin it on a loose muffler bolt. Took it to the Lexus dealership today, crossing my fingers they get it fixed. Kinda guessing it's an overfilled transmission

It was low two quarts, fluid changed at Lexus again, original dealership is reimbursing us for the fluid change. Crossing my fingers car will be good to go. Case closed!
