Eco Mode
2019 RC 350 F-Sport
Hello everyone!
Is there a way to set things up so that Eco mode doesn't come on by default? Or was mandating a reset upon power off intentionally to try and fool the feds with milage and such?
It isn't a big deal to press the dial to change the mode, but the wife was asking (it's her car).
I tried doing a search, the closest that I found was dealing with the LC and comfort/ normal mode being the default.
Thanks!

Are you asking why the ECO light comes on when just cruising along in Normal mode? There is a Custom mode with an F-sport for setting things up.
I mostly run the Normal mode or kick the Sport+ mode on when "funning" around. I have never tried the Custom mode but I'm sure someone here has
and will chime in.

The custom mode is pretty much just normal mode (pushing down on the selector) where you have adjusted the throttle response, suspension, or climate (or any combo of them).
I was asking if ECO mode was the default upon start up, regardless of which mode was selected on the previous trip.

It is strange that my wife's car seems to default to ECO mode.
It isn't just the light, the throttle response is reduced, etc.

Seems like I recall that the car can be set up in "economy" or "Normal" modes.... not sport or sport+. I memory serves correctly, this was done for fuel economy #'s. As TNILC stated, the "ECO" light will come on while responsibly driving in normal mode.
In my RC350 90+% of my driving is all highway. I would get high 26 to mid 28 MPG on a regular basis. Long road trips have see near 30mpg. My 2019 RCF is getting 22-23 MPG on my normal commuting to work highway driving. the road trip home from picking it up in Missouri, I was getting 25.7 - 26.5. To me, it seems like they have very different sweet spots for the cruising speed they prefer.

Thank you for this...I've had this car for 6 months and still learning little things with the settings. I honestly have it set up the way I like it for basic stuff plus a few other things i've learned, but since I don't drive it that much I usually just get in it and go most of the time.

Try it and see if you feel a difference. I still remember that feeling, that as soon as I see that green "ECO" light, the car suddenly feels like it dialed down a notch - but this is just me.
s3v3n, great pics and explanation. Turning this ECO light off in the settings does the trick.
Never really bothered me in the day, but at night, it always caught my eye. PITA.
As someone ask, turning it off here just turns off light. It only comes on it standard/normal
mode to "help" you out with right foot placement. Being when it's on, you're in the best
throttle position for economy millage. Other than that, it means nothing.
