Default Possible Blown Shocks

So recently when I am driving normally and taking a turn, I would notice a more dramatic body roll, and I thought it was because of the new wheels and tires that I just got. But after thinking about it for a little it didn't make sense, if anything the continental extreme contact sports should have a stiffer sidewall (not even sure if that plays into the amount of body roll I feel). I took the car for a little spirited drive and in the corners, it didn't really feel too different. Then today when I am driving on the highway for the first time since the new wheels and tires, the car feels kind of floaty, and this seems like what would happen if my shocks were blown. When I took the car in for an alignment, I told them to also look for any damages in the suspension, and the technician there didn't note anything that was out of the ordinary. So now I am just extremely confused and don't know if there is a problem or not.

You could possibly have 1 bad/leaking shock, but 2, or more. Very doubtful. When you
replaced the tires, the feel of the car will change. Air pressure maybe? But bad shocks
all of the sudden, not likely. What year RC? Millage?

When you switch tires, there is always a change in how the car drives. If you are feeling a lot of float, it is because the tires are brand new, which usually are very soft for the first few thousands miles. Another reason potentially, you have wider new tires and they tend to lean more on the sidewalls than narrow tires especially if the wheel width has not changed much. It could be any of these things.

I know my Miata is a completely different car but I went with continental extreme contact sports. And they are definitely a softer sidewall than previous tires I've run. That's one of the reasons I love them. They stick incredibly well in the corner but are still comfortable.

Yeah, I have been driving this car for another couple of days and it doesn't seem like my shocks are bad, and I have started to appreciate this new handling dynamic of the car more and more. Thank you for everyone's responses!
