Default RC Turbo Recall for Fuel Pump

Anyone else get the Lexus recall notice for a possible faulty fuel pump?

My car has an Injen intake, catless downpipe and full exhaust. I really don't want to take it in.

Yup, it has been talked about numerous times....The recall applies to several Lexus and Toyota models dating back several years. I have received my preliminary recall message about 1 month ago but no dates for the actual work being done. I'll likely have my car sold by then given the scope of this recall

Just a quick update on the recall issue, my part has been ordered by the dealer and once it arrives, I'll be going in for the replacement of the recalled fuel pump. I'll keep you guys updated on the status...anyone else had theirs replaced?

Lexus is supposed to be reaching out to me next week. Part is on backorder. I went in yesterday but they didn't have the part.

The dealer just informed me that the part came in today and I should have my car back tomorrow.

Are your cars modified?

I am missing 3 catalytic converters on my RC300 lol. I don't want to get hassled for it.

Not really, only thing i have done is lowered the car aside from the minor aesthetics "mods". So not really worry about them denying service.

^^ I agree with what was said above. I have done the same on mine but this recall is not a warranty issue or something that you are bring to their attention for repair, it is a safety recall and they are required, by law, to fix regardless of the mods you have done.

Got the car back today with the recall done. No issues so far. They also replaced my sunroof housing to fix the rattle.

My concern is more so the dealership recording the mods I have. Dealerships are known to log your modifications and void warranty work in the future for areas involving those modifications.

^^ Well, that is the risk of doing mods - We are all too much aware of the risks involved with doing mods and the effects on possible warranty repairs. Trying to undo all the mods to get your fuel pump replaced is not something that is doable so sadly, you have no choice and hope for the best. In my case, I have Lexus lowering springs and if they want to deny warranty claims on components of the front suspension, it will be what it will be. The drastic improvement by dropping the front by 1 inch is worth every single penny for me!

On a related note to the the recall, I just got a call from the dealer that my part just arrived so I will be taking mine in next week...
