So just thought you guys could use some of this info. I replaced my rotors this weekend with R1 concepts (The E-line series) one pieces. Anyways here's some info y'all might want. I can't give you 100% my review on the rotors till I've used them for awhile. So far they don't feel any different than the two piece (However I am using ceramic pads, so my stopping force is already gimped a bit)
- Front Caliper mounting bolt = 17mm | 100 ft pounds
- Rear Caliper mounting bolt = 17mm | 92 ft pounds (I had no leverage to get this tightened to that spec, I probably got around 80-90 pounds)
- Rear Caliper top plate (Don't know the official name) = 14mm | (I tightened just till firm, basically just about how much force I applied to untighten it) | Remember to use a wrench to hold the inner nut in place while you untighten or you risk breaking the rubber gasket
Notes :
Rear Brakes were seized, took a mallet and they came right off
If you're replacing rotors might as well flush brake fluid, order is (rear left, rear right, passenger, driver) - Bleed nut = 10mm
Remember to apply thread locker to the caliper bolts
Place caliper somewhere the brake line doesn't get tension and snaps
The r1 concepts black fades as soon as you use them lol, the inner part stays black (The part that the pads don't come in contact with)
I used 36 OZ of toyota brake fluid (40k miles, mine was a little yellow but not bad)
Use a steel brush to clean the rust out of the hub (Pro tip, also apply anti sieze)
Did you have any issue with brake squeal?? I bought the Cquence cross drilled and slotted,... have had 2 different sets, and nonstop brake noise on both sets, with 4 different sets of ceramic pads, installed by 3 different installers,... same issue.
