Default Rear Spoiler opinions

Hi guys
I recently purchased a '15 RC350 AWD and was interested in installing a rear spoiler.
I came across some on ebay and wondering if anyone had any experience with any of these:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-2015-20...sAAOSws2dcUpYd

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2015-2018-L...4AAOSwk7RcUpYs

If so...
can I avoid drilling holes and just install it strictly with double sided tape?
any pros/cons to these vs paying a premium for factory item?

If anyone has any other suggestions/recommendations with other spoilers, please share.

I plan to wrap it in gloss black vinyl so it's ok if it comes in primer, etc.

Thanks!

I think the ones you posted are the same just different vendors. I purchased the second one I believe. I tried attaching it with double sided tape and silicone after I wrapped it and it did not last. I ended up drilling holes and mounting it with the screws.

These seem awfully cheap. You spent how much $$$ for your car and now you want to tape a $40 piece of plastic to the back? I think I'd opt for the Lexus factory one instead.

I went with the eBay one. Perfect fit, perfect paint match (Ultra White), installed with double-sided tape around full perimeter. Been on there for over 2 years with no issues. My 2 cents.

undergrou6, that spoiler looks great on your ride! I have the same color of RC350 Fsport and have been trying to decide if I should get a color matched (white) spoiler or go with the contrasting black spoiler! Your pictures are definitely helpful

The white looks really good with a chrome delete, black roof & mirrors and the black spoiler.

I just placed an order for the second one you linked. I figure $50 for the spoiler and even if it costs $100 to paint it, that is still better than $300 for a factory one. especially since our RC is leased. my wife will be happy, as she has wanted a spoiler since we got the car.

Please post a picture of your car after the install. Also, wondering how easy it was to mount and line it up. Did you use two people to get it right?

I did it by myself with tape to outline and lineup the ends, then marked where the holes needed to be and drilled. Trunk lid liner needs to be removed to place the screws but not a hard or time consuming process. I tried the double sided tape with epoxy and it did not hold.

@jonmonkey , did you purchase the ebay spoiler or the genuine oem? I can't tell from your pictures (car looks sick!).
