Car Wrap Color
Hey guys,
Recently purchased a 2016 Lexus RC 350 F-Sport in Obsidian Black and was considering vinyl wrapping.
These are the colors I've narrowed it down to and was wondering what some of your thoughts were.
3M Satin Dark Grey
Oracal Matte Graphite Metallic

I have always liked gray. They both look really nice. I noticed the second one had a darker roof. Are you planning to do the same? How much does it cost in California to get a car wrapped?

Unless you have your heart set on it, I wouldn't reccommend a wrap. I wanted one more than anything on my old IS so i got one, but it was such a pita.

I plan on wrapping the roof in a gloss black finish and will also do a chrome delete in gloss black.

Co worker has a Matt Dark Grey AMG. I love the color and sheen.
He chose a wrap over a paint job (I think it's clear matte over the grey). He heard bad things about matte finishes being hard to maintain. They can get shiny spots and can look odd after some birds/trees have their way with it.
He thought the wrap was more durable than the pain wrt that kind of damage.
Plus he wanted it wrapped anyways for longevity of the paint underneath. When the wrap comes off, it's still pretty much brand new underneath.
This was a high budget add to his ride though.
I do love the RC in matte or satin grey. Hard to tell from the photos, but that Graphite looks great.
