Default RC350 ECU Reflash

Has any members had their RC350's ECU flashed from www.ovtuned.com?

Looks promising but I haven't seen much feedback from other members.

I have it on the 3rd gen 14+ is350. Good stuff for sure!
I would send in my ECU part # (label on side of ECU module) to them first, if you wanted to check if they already have your ECU info. in their database.
If they already have your ecu info. then the handheld option should work.

How does it compare to the RR-Racing tune in terms of power gain?

EDIT, found the answer to my own question.

like that they promote HP gains and better fuel economy, was that the case for you?

Wherr do you see data of better gains/ fuel economy. I don't see any charts. They say a Max of 10hp but are there any charts on that site that I missed?

You're right. I just browsed their website today (I remembered reading about this tune a few months back and thought I remember something about that posted), it doesn't seem that their website lists it.

Wouldn't know without having both on hand. I can only speak from personal experience with Orange Virus Tuning.

Fuel economy didn't increase I wouldn't think lol. I have it tuned for the 7400rpm output and also e85.
You could definitely feel the difference power wise. It's probably the single biggest mod that have given me the most gains so far vs, headers, intake, and exhaust.

Found a much better forum that talks about the OV mod.

RR racing tune bumps rpm limiter to 7200

OVtune bumps it up to 7400. And use a rc350 as a test bunny.

Read the reviews. Both have great reviews.

There is another tune but I forget who they are

You can check forums for rr racing mod forums too.

If it makes you feel better, we can bump your RL to 7600rpm?

BTW, we have an IS350 Fsport shop car, currently finishing up development on our RC/IS/GS supercharger kit. We track test all of our products!

thanks for the clarification. We hold the Rev Limit to 7200, just to keep things safe in the long run. Actually, if you pay close attention, stock IS/RC350's actually shift below the 6700 OEM redline much of the time.

Also, RWD owners should know that the 8sp RWD tranny starts to slip at 6700rpm, so the RL increase is not as useful as it is on the AWD 6sp tranny, which does not do this. We are working on a tranny tune for the 8sp, but this will likely require sending in the ECU.

Rafi,

Do you have a cost estimate for the RC supercharger kit?

Very shortly I will be able to say, but I don't want to post just yet. I will just say that we will keep the cost of the Stage I kit very reasonable. Subsequently, we will offer staged upgrades, including engine builds and SC upgrade to support up to 600hp.
