Default RC350 AWD Aftermarket Wheel questions

I have an RC350 F-Sport AWD and I assume that being an AWD car means that I need to keep the front and rear the same size, as thats how the AWD vehicles come.
The stock wheels are 19" and the tires that came with the car are 235/40/19 for both front and rear.
I bought the car in September and had only a couple of hundred miles on the car when I switched over to winter tires on the OE rims. The winter tires I purchased and installed are Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4s 235/40/19.
I would be able to like to utilize the stock tires that I have, which are practically brand new, on another set if rims. I'd also like to see them sit out a little more than the stock wheels. Especially the rear wheels ... they are inset too much...

What should I look for as far as offset and wheel size ?
In the future, would I be able to go with wider rubber on the rear while keeping the ratio the same?

So .. 19" wheels obviously ... 5 on 114.3 bolt pattern I assume.... but I'm not sure about offset or rim width ( 8", 9" , 9.5", 10" ).
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Hey,

So for the first part of your question where you want to be able to use the same tires that you have on a new set of rims. Need4Speed Motorsports here in this club might be able to answer this question.

I have an AWD RC as well and i was skeptical about running wider rubber on the rear since its AWD but i decided to go head and just go for that setup. So right now i'm running this setup on mine, The offset is just about perfect to how i wanted it. I'd try and keep the wheels 19's since for some people 20's might rub, depending on the tire. Only thing when running a staggered setup is to make sure that the overall diameter is close to the stock. Wasn't aware of this until Suvi2k (member here) told me this.

19x 8.5 +35 mm. 235/40/19 Tires. Front.

19 x 9.5 + 38 mm 265/35/19 Tires. Rear.

Staggered setup on the RC350 AWD is doable as some GS350 guys do the same.

If you want to keep the same width wheels all around, I would probably go with 19x8.5 +35 all around if you plan on keeping the 235/40/19 tires as most aftermarket wheel manufacturers make 19x8.5 as the smallest sizing. If you want something pretty flush with the fender at stock height, I would suggest something like 19x8.5 +20 to +30.

Looks amazing brotha and thank you again for sharing!!! Fellow members you can run staggered on any AWD vehicles as long as the OD is proportional and not off by more than 0.3". In this case your traction system will not be confused when one wheel is spinning faster than the other.

I would be happy to explain further in detail and answer any questions that you may have.

As a Lexus owner myself and Lexus Boy rep for 10 years, I take great pride in customizing my fellow Lexus owner vehicles.

Tiko

Thanks and that looks great all blacked out !
I just sold my 996 - 911 Turbo and had a 3 or 4 sets of rims at one time for the car, and it had the same concern where you needed to keep the tire diameter the same. With typical tire options you would have to run 315/25-19s (as I recall) for the rears to match the front diameter, and that super low 25 profile is sometimes hard to get, expensive and not the most pleasant ride on rough roads. I like the way your rear wheels seem to fit, so that may be a good option.

Got it all sorted, thanks for the advice. I pulled the stock tires off after less than 1000km so I decided to utilize them and just go with a non-staggered setup, at least for now. I picked up a set of Black 19x8.5 with a 35+ offset and they worked out great with the stock tires. They come out a little bit further than the stock setup, although not perfect they do come out pretty close to flush with the wheel well. Of course it still has the stock suspension, so it still sits a little higher than I would like. But, living in Edmonton it makes more sense than having it low.
