Default Remove rear seats?

Hey guys,

Wondering what the general consensus is to removing the rear seats? I find I hardly ever carry passengers in the rear and it seems like a good way to reduce some extra weight (weight reduction brahh)

Is this even worth doing?

Feel like it would be detrimental with climate control, cabin noise, etc. No way I would do it!

How much weight are we talking about? Are you trying to turn the RC into something like a Lotus Elise with around 2100 pounds?

^^He was at the Boden Autohaus Super Street event this weekend.

To answer OP's question though, if you are soley removing the rear seats and nothing else, than it's probably not worth doing. You will not feel the difference in weigh loss while driving but you will hear the difference in road noise. However, if you plan on removing additional excess weight, and it's a significant amount, then yes you might feel the change. Just my .02.

Removing front seats too should shave off a good amount. I know they are heavy but like you said, you may not feel the difference.
