Hi...I'm sure this has been covered before but not in the RC forums. I am in the market for some wheels to compliment and finish my RC build. I am a very big fan of the look Vossen wheels but keep reading online they don't live up to their name...are actually bad in terms of quality...and don't honor their warranties. I'm sure if the Lexus community can chime in with any personal experiences it would really help me decide.
Right now I am looking at the vfs6 wheels. Also what about VMR or avant garde or BBS wheels? I keep hearing how forged are so much better....but these vossens are flow formed..
Thanks in advance!
UPDATE>>>>Vossen VSF6 Installed >>>> Thanks for everyones help:

Look for a wheel that is TUV certified. Just because it is forged or flowformed does not mean it is strong.
Yea I did find a bunch of bad stuff about it and went to a few shops which are local to me and they said the same thing... -> that they are hella over priced and just have an amazing marketing group for just an average quality wheel which are made in Taiwan....really??? I don't really trust what a sales man says although he was an authorized Vossen dealer...he was trying to sell me Niche wheels. How are those? I really love the concave look. You wont believe a 20x10.5 with a 275/30/20 tire fit on my car well and I'm lowered when they test fitted a niche for me.
Did some reading up on the TUV certifications...looks like that HRE, Volk, Work, Advan and some others. Also looks like forged is the way to go but its way more expensive than whats available from manufacturers.

They're more expensive because you would certainly be paying for higher quality wheels (not a huge surprise with all those brand names). Ultimately when it comes to TUV certifications they're often very expensive and very difficult to pass for some guys, but we felt it was necessary to be a TUV certified production facility as well as produce wheels which pass their stringent requirements. Getting something that's TUV approved is usually a good indication of quality but because of this it will raise prices.
I know several people in the wheel business that vouch for Niche wheels.
I would add to that MRR, TSW and Giovanna as lower cost but high quality wheels.
All of these have been around longer than most people on this forum have been alive.
I would have no reservation mounting any of these.
I'm running the Niche Essen M147's and really like the look and fitment of them. They are definitely the cheapest wheels I have ever ran but they aren't bad quality. For reference, I am running:
Vossens are fine for this car. It's a slow Lexus that you won't be taking to the track. Vossen has cool designs and can make cars look good the quality is fine. I have them on my Lexus see attached, and I have HRE's on my Porsche Turbo that is 600hp Twin Snails. That I drive like it should be. So do you need to put HRE, WORK, ADV1's on a Lexus rc350???? No.... But you can if you want. Spend the dough on tires.

Only problem, and it's a big problem, with your argument is: Vossens cost as much as a legit set of wheels. So why not get both performance and reliability with a stronger non-Vossen wheel?
