Since I live in the Phoenix metro area and live on paved roads it is not too dusty, but in the Summer months we can get several really bad dust storms that will necessitate cleaning the filter twice during the Summer monsoons.

From what I've researched the Wet filters filter better than dry. There is more maintenance with the wet filter as you have to soak them in Dawn dishwashing to get all the oil and grime off first. Then you have to let it air dry for a few hours before oiling it again, and when oiling don't put too much on as it could seep through and get on your MAF sensor.

It all depends on if you don't mind the extra steps associated with an "Wet" filter.

I just installed the Takeda dry filter intake in my 2015 rc 350. The crank case hose is not staying put, however, even after installing screw on clamps.

I found a heater hose that I could retrofit to replace the crank case hose with. Would this be okay to use? I have received mixed information on this topic, as some people are saying the rubber on the heater hose could break down.

Will this fit in a 2017 RC300? I'm getting warned that this won't fit on my car since its not a 350? Can anyone confirm?
