Default Does RC models' front bumper paint chip easy? Clear bra?

I remember my 2008 is250's paint were fairly strong and had very minimal rock chips on bumper. How is the paint quality now on the rcf? Who installed clear bra?

On my 370z, the paint were paper thin, this have many rock chips

I'm interested in purchasing molten pearl rcf, just gauging if I should install clear bra. Asking here since lot more members have normal RCs

Yes.. you should get one. Its amazing where the chips come from. The paint quality is great, but the durability can't stand up to the rocks and road debris of high speed driving.

I think the shape and configuration of the front end of a car is a greater factor in the number of stone chips you will see than the thickness of the paint. Some front ends present a bigger target, and a speeding stone that can crack a windshield will go through any paint job.
Get the film installed.

If you can, definitiely get a clear bra. I've gotten 2 good chips in the paint in the front bumper, why couldn't they go to the big *** grill instead lol. The paint is nice quality but paper thin so beware. And I got a couple chips in the windshield last week ugh.

Some stones probably did hit the big-*** grill, but it's mostly plastic and not painted.

I've noticed that the paint is quite durable. This is my first car without the clear bra and I haven't any chips (yet). The glass is another story .... Look at it the wrong way and it will pit.

600 bucks I think the dealer charges... Good luck!
