Default Issues with Bluetooth

My IPhone 6 connects to my RC through Bluetooth OK, but when attempting to make on outbound call from the vehicle, the audio comes through the phone and not the vehicle. A setting on the phone allows for toggling the audio between it and the vehicle, but toggling to the RC doesn't change anything. There is a button on the RC display called "Handset Mode" which appears to be on, but when I attempt to turn it off, I get a message. " Call can not be transferred". I have tried removing and re--adding the phone, but that did not fix it.. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
