I had one on my old BMW 335i and M3 and I am struggling with the slow takeoff of my new car. Has anyone installed a throttle controller, or for that matter, even been able to break traction from stand still?

Rick - there's some good info under FR500's build thread - easily found through a quick search if you are interested.

Search the Apexi Throttle controller, I had it on my ISF and customers put it on their RCF & RC350!

Hi...also interested in this. Where's the best place to purchase the APEXi Smart Accel Controller and Harness?

For the RC350, the needed items are 410-A001 and 417-A021?

Thanks in advance!

I'm bewildered a bit, I have a CAI and I just installed the throttle controller. yeah it makes 'some' difference but this thing won't even remotely spin the wheels off the line with full traction control off. If you even remotely try to touch the brakes the get it spinning, it cuts in with errors. I am hugely frustrated with this car.

Rick, when you are trying to get off the line are you using Sport + and Manual mode (paddle shifters)? If not you have to try it as full auto is a dog.

I had Nissan 350Z yesterday continuously rev his engine at a light, and in general I don't care, but I was feeling a bit playful. I had it in Sport + and in 1st, and when the light changed I nailed it, and used the paddle shifters. Needless to say I left him at the light and all the way to the next light. He kept trying to bait me after that, and I already proved my point.

1. Are you in the Red "Hi Throttle" Mode?

2. When you say "full traction control off", that means you held it down for 3 seconds and the TCD light is on the dash right?

3.When you touch the brakes, "what" cuts in with errors?

Hopefully this will help since I don't know why you would have any issue if #1 and #2 are done correctly. By now I am able to throw the car around to do whatever I like.
