Just curious if anyone has watched a standard DVD on their screen yet?

Mine has an issue which will be fixed on my first appointment next month. Currently I'm getting sound but no video on the screen. Post some pics if yours is working

 

Works fine, but the picture is only viewable when the vehicle is stationary.

Same here. My MB works the same way. The interesting thing is there are after market people who make mods so you (your passengers) can watch the movie. Dumb idea but it's out there.

 

There is something out there where you can watch DVD's while driving.

Like most I just assumed it would work as intended. Sadly mine does not. I don't have ML System, is that why? What is the fix? A trip to the dealer service bay?

Same problem with mine and I have the ML system. Dealer tells me they have a fix for it but they have to hook it up to a scanner. Not overly important right now so I will wait till I go in for my 1600 kms service. Let me know what the solve is if you get it fixed before me.

Mine works for both video and sound. Top Gun before going to work is awesome and brings me back.

 

Almost as smart as texting while you are driving. Great idea

 

I just tried mine and it only plays the sound. Please keep us updated if anyone fixes the issue.

 

Ok dropped by the dealer at lunch even got an espresso. The fix is to depress the parking brake and the picture comes on the screen. My sales rep tells me this might be a C-Best setting that can be eliminated but wasn't 100% sure.

Had a system put in my truck years ago that would only work with the parking brake on. Place I go to rigged up a toggle switch to fool the car into thinking the emergency brake was on. All I had to do is flip the switch and on came the picture while moving

 

On a side note, can someone please tell me how to get the usb audio stuff to shuffle? (No ML system) For the life of me i cannot figure it out (prolly not avail... ><)
