When I was using a USB it was under the USB settings when it is plugged in. Hope that helps.

You can shuffle your USB. There's a crisis cross arrow thing that you put the pointer on. When you click on it you'll see in small print...I think it appears towards the top of the screen...called folder random. You can also verbally have the car go to a specific artist. Say "play artist Eagles" for example. Yoy will get a reply something like "preparing for voice recognition". It takes a few minutes for it to scan the flash drive and then you'll be good to go. A great feature! I have a 64 gig stick with around 1000 albums on it. Manually trying to get to something is very time consuming and not at all practical

It came with instructions with pictures, but I didn't want to mess up anything, so I took it to my installer and he said it was pretty straight forward.

Set up shuffle in the playback device, your iPad,Pod,Nano etc.
Steering Wheel controls will trigger a change when you don't like
the current track.

That's what I did on my iPod, and the voice commands work great and no waiting like I had with the USB stick.
