This engine has been on the market for 10 years now and no one has been able to crack it yet. I'd be extremely suspicious.

A tune is a tune and once a car has had a tune you can bet your bottom dollar if you bring your car in because of a mechanical issue the dealers techs can tell if a car has been tuned. I hope you don't think Toyota is stupid. Don't let anyone tell you their unit won't void your warranty, that is if it really works which I'm very speculative of. Manufacturers are stingy with engine/trans repairs and they want to make sure that the defect was their fault and not yours.

If they won't give you dyno numbers then they should at least give you an idea of how much additional HP and torque you might expect. In the end I think like some many others this is BS.

While I certainly understand the skepticism, I'll reserve my decision for a point after someone has actually verified potential gains.

If the gains with or without additional mods are significant, you've got yourself a customer, RRM.
