Just picked up my 2016 RC300 after having an IS250 for the past 2 years. I love almost everything about it except ...

1. When I exit the car the driver seat doesn't move back automatically to make exiting easier. My IS did this but I think because it's a coupe it won't move the seat back. At least the steering wheel still retracts.

2. No power folding mirrors

3. I keep the Bass turned all the way up but this causes the moonroof cover to rattle. So I have to keep the moonroof cover open half way in order for there to be no rattle when the bass hits hard.

4. I didn't have an F Sport IS so the instrumentation panel seems like there is a lot of dead/unused space. Especially when the tachometer is centered. Seems like a lot more information could be provided or the space better used to the left and right.

5. No hooks for a cargo net even though it's listed as an accessory on the website. WTF? am i missing something here?

6. Never had a coupe before so reaching so far back to grab the seat belt SUCKS.

7. Enform. I have no idea why Lexus thinks Enform is top notch but the technology seems so early 2000s. I don't know what kind of people they include in their focus groups but I work in IT so I'm tech savvy. The technology in the car is extremely sub par. Gawd I would love Audi's virtual cockpit.

8. Touch pad. Again, what idiot thought putting a touch pad in the car would be good. I'm more distracted with it than the thumb stick in the IS. It's also placed in the stupidest location ever.

heh... didn't think the list would get this long and i just picked up the car. LOL

Dear only,
In #5, you are missing something. The little hooks for the cargo net are supplied with the net, so if you did not acquire the net with the car, there will be no cute little hooks. My RC came with the net, and the hooks are there on the left and right side of the trunk, at the rear, about 18" from the floor. The bottom of the net is a zippered storage sleeve into which the net goes when not in use. This storage case has two plastic clips that attach to hooks that I think are affixed to the floor in all trunks. I've never had one before, and didn't really "order" this one, but I use it a lot more than I thought I would.

That's definitely what i thought, except my RC300 doesn't have the hooks for the Net to wrap its straps around like my IS did. Are you saying the hooks come as a separate attachment that I just have to install?

I've never bought one except for the one on my RC, which was already in the car, but my reading on these forums over the years leads me to believe that many owners buy the net from the parts department that gives them the best price, often on-line, and that the net comes with the little plastic hooks and some screws or rivets for fastening them in the appropriate place. If screwing two little screws into the plastic trunk liner counts as "installing," then, yes, you will have to install them yourself.

that's what i wanted to confirm. I just didn't want to go and buy the cargo net from the parts department only to find that i still can't use it because there's no hooks.

Even if the Lexus hooks are not supplied, you can get something that will work from Home Depot for $2.00.

I absolutely love the touch pad. I find it much easier to use than the joystick/mouse thing in the other cars. I don't take my eyes off the road at all while using it.

Mine defaults back to Normal when in Sport+. That's weird.

No, it's not weird. My GS did the same thing. It does that because of CAFE standards and the fact that upon startup the car needs to be in the setup that will cause it to most closely resemble the stated MPG on the sticker. It is a limitation designed into many cars these days.

"Mine defaults back to Normal when in Sport+. That's weird."

Right, cause Normal is the default setting.

Have you clipped the seatbelts underneath the little leather straps (with the magnetic fastener)?

A coupe or convertible (SC430) will always have the belts way behind the front seat, because of the longer door and the space needed for unwary passengers to try to cram their fat butts back there. The little belts for securing the seatbelts to the top corner of the front seats at least allow for easier access to the belts. Give them a try.

Contrary to some of you guys on the thread, I love the sunroof(will never buy a car without one), I like the lights on the doors at night(looks awesome). The only hate I have right now is the seat belt placement. It seems so far back or maybe its because I'm only 5'8".

I think this has been mentioned, but i really hate how the e-brake is not a hand brake and for the LX570 it is a hand brake.
