Default ceramic detailing

Hi folks,
I've got a Trophy Date coming up and I thought I'd get my silver sled, aka 2018 RC-300 F sport all detailed out. The detailer is trying to talk me into getting a ceramic finish on it. From what I've read it's ok provided you don't run it thru the carwash. Curious if any of you have had this done and your experience with it and your opinions would be most appreciated.

MaxL did a fine job for me. I use it on all my vehicles. Easy and super shiny.
