AEM Intake, will i get engine light and need a tune?
Hi everyone,
I have a 2018 RC350 F Sport RWD based in Australia.
Been wanting to get the AEM cold air intake as my first mod for the sound and I read somewhere it could give you an engine light and you could lose power? I was surprised by this but figured id ask the pros here.
Do I also need a tune to go with it or will the ecu figure it out itself?
No tune needed, but when you install it, the tube that goes from the passenger side valve cover to the intake tube likes to slip off the bung on the AEM intake, causing a CEL and a loss of power. Buy a hose clamp and don't reuse the factory clamp and you'll be good to go.

thanks guys! I ended up buying the AFE Takeda black and blue one. Hopefully it also doesn't need one either.
