for shadows, I just draw a basic shape that I want the shadow to be with the polygon lasso tool or regular lasso tool, put it on a new layer underneath the car, fill it black, then apply a little motion blur to taste,then a little gaussian blur to taste, then duplicate that layer and free transform it to be a little smaller than the first one.Then go back to the first one and set the opacity to like 50-80, just depends on the background etc. Basicaly you wanna see two shadows strengths in most cases.then just combine those two layers, making sure to keep the shadow layer under the car.Now this will only work if the car is cut out of the background.If you have a pic of a car on a bckground you wanna keep, then do all the same things, but keeping the shadow layers ON TOP of the car layer,then when you are done, erase or cut away the remaining shadow that is covering the car.I hope this makes sense, if it doesnt work for you just let me know.

thanx for answering, and in great detail too......it made total sence, but i have to reinstall PS and i cant find my serial number (previous version is already deleted ) so if you wanna shoot a PM my way with a serial number that would be great if not, thanx for the help on that......BTW, are you ACE certified?
