Default intake......question.....SRT

has anyone changed the filter on the srt intake to any other brand(for looks, performance or just because they could do it)?
i wanted to change the filter on my intake(body shop had a piece of cloth covering it with the car running, the filter got damaged) so was wondering about other options?

I changed mine to a K&N which is larger than the SRT. Looks much better and seems to suck more air too.

I bought my K&N air filter for the SRT intake at a local car shop. Just remember that you need to get a filter with a 3.5" opening. Most K&N filters have a 3" opening. It's a straight bolt on but remember that the SRT ECU was programmed with the SRT filter so if you get a super large air filter, it may hurt performance.

People have been looking for the K&N filter that replaces the SRT one for a while now. None of the local shops seem to have a 3.5 one. Only 3's.

If you have a serial/model # for the K&N, I'm sure those guys would be greatful.

Here's a pic of mine.... Sorry, I don't have the serial # for the K&N filter.

It's a breather filter to relieve crankshaft pressure and carbon vapors. I just popped the filter on for the pic.
