oh yeah and i drive with no traction control. call me crazy but i like it better. even when my rears lose traction, i still feel more in control than with the computer pumping my brakes.

CRAZY!!! (you said to )

As for E-shift, I'm with you....drop it down to 2nd (would rather have 1st eventhough I suspect it would be a very short ride judging by how quick the car goes to redline in 2nd) and go. The one thing is that the E-shift really doesn't hold the gear like it should. The ecu will always come in and shift it if you don't.

Don't know about yours, but mine stays in selected gear until limiter kicks in - doesn't shift.

Same here... won't shift above set gear, but it will shift to a lower gear of course.

Depends on what you mean by "best". Manually shifting for me, of course, means gate-shifting since I have a 430, but it still allows me to accelerate and decelerate using shift points I select, rather than a T/L line of code. And gate-shifting does have the advantage of giving you back first gear!!

That's what I was referring to when I said it wouldn't hold the gear as it should. Yes it does hold the gear there, but if are say on a dyno or passing someone or just wanna see how the car pulls in a certain gear...depending on the rpm's, you have to hit it easy or it will downshift. In other words, it's not like a true 5spd tranny where if you shift it manually into 3rd it stays there no matter how hard you hit the gas. You know what I mean?

Yeah BABY!!!! I have an almost dead flat line at 12:1 on the air/fuel curve. We could have been a little more aggresive, but decided to er on the side of caution since she's a daily driver.

I'm waiting on UPS to deliver yet another goodie on Friday. Then back to the dyno to hopefully hit my 400 that I'm looking for.

You guys haven't figured it out yet......I want 400rwhp on my GS400. Get it...
