I live in CA and was wondering what legal axle back exhaust i can get. Compliant with decibel and emissions levels. Like the HKS, Megan, invidia all those. What are the decibel levels on those.

 

HKS is the loudest, Tanabe and Greddy is the quietest, Invidia, megan, etc fits between those...

 

As far as i know Tanabe (rename to Revel now) is the only one who advertises their exhaust decibel reading and it is under 93db which is legal in pretty much every state... CA legal limit is 95db. I have gotten an exhaust ticket with my car for a loud exhaust with the F-Sport axleback and Invidia Midpipe. I put back the stock midpipe and I passed the decibel test with just the F-Sport axleback at 94db. If i were to guess I think any axleback will be under the legal limit... as long as the stock midpipe is untouched.
