Default Code P0125 Limp mode 2000 GS 300

Does anyone know if a faulty coolant temp sensor can make your car go into limo mode? VSC lights are off and CEL is off car wont go past 40mph with a total lost of power no matter how hard I floor the pedal. Went to get the car scanned only code that came up was P0125

You should fix that issue, but most often limp mode is a throttle issue. APP/TPS correlation. Always best to start with a throttle clean and computer reset in my opinion.

Yessir i had the same code in my gs300 and I bought the entire throttle body with all the sensors and it got my car running like normal and out of limp mode. The reason I went ahead and got the whole throttle body is because they are notorious for tripping out the other sensors and it can be difficult to find which sensor is actually bad.

Honestly it's up to you but from my experience i eliminated limp mode by replacing the whole TB with sensors. Of course it could be just one sensor messed up or two but that's the hard part is finding which one it is so I just replaced it all so I would save time and money without mistakingly replacing something that is working on accident.

You might want to check out the apps sensor.
