Yeah the easiest way is to push the side of the entire grommet out of the way with a flathead but that places the wire in between the outer edge of the grommet and the metal edge, defeating the entire point of the grommet. I did this first but then after pulling out the wire, I already saw abrasion against the wire. I then was going to place a small tube or sheath around that wire (essentially another grommet) but I found that extra hole in the OEM grommet and went for it.
True. I haven’t checked the wire to see if it’s getting ripped by the metal. I’m not too worried about it since I hardly ever use the JB4 app (I have the Bluetooth module too).

My main worry was shorting a wire connected to the OBDII port which is connected to the CANBUS, and you could see how that could go downhill quickly.

hey guys, late to the party. Does anyone have a pic how this will go on an IS2016. I cant figure out how to run and connect the obd wire
