Smile 2014 IS 350 rwd ECU MOD

Last weekend I took my car to a person who claimed to be able to modify the ECU on my 2014 IS 350 RWD. I will like to share one of the many graphs I have from several runs on the Dyno. The lower line is for the best of three runs performed with absolutely no ECU modification. The higher line is for the ECU modification. As you can see, at a point, we had a 50 HP increase over stock.

My car has no modification whatsoever; no catback nor intake etc.

I witnessed all the runs and I saw the work being performed on a laptop PC and being uploaded to my car’s ECU. This person ran my car over 9 times on the Dyno trying to get the best compromise of HP and torque. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

that's a quite or gain at the mid range although it tapers at the top end. Do you have RPM graph instead of the speed.

Yes. I will compile all the data I got and post it. I have the torque lines. I'm also new at this but happy with the results. I just need a couple of more HP so I can convince myself not to buy a M3. I know is a different beast but a big difference in $$$$.

BTW can anyone suggest what mod have the greatest gain in HP per dolar amount spent? My IS is completely stock. I was going to purchase a K&N filter but for one of the runs I asked for the filter to be removed. Actually, the filter box was wide open and the gain was about 1-2 HP. Nothing really significant.

I did noticed that the gain at high RPM was not that impressive but this was due to the fact that I asked for the programmed MAP to allow me to use regular octane gas. Premium gas is very expensive here and the mod allows me to use regular. The gain in performance was not that great at the test. Maybe if I used premium the the gains might have been better. I don't know. You guys are the experts so I will like to hear what you have to say.

Let me suggest you to get a m3. If you can why not?

headers seems to be best way to squeeze most power out of these vehicles. You are looking at about 45 whp gain with headers, catback exhaust and a tune.

The difference between my IS350 and an M3 is $39,000 in this part of the world. My CFO (wife) will not approve such purchase.

The sensors after cats has been disabled and I can get away stripping away the catalytic converters and I will not be fine or anything like that because of the emissions. I do mind the odor and the sound. I'm being told that the sound is very "metalic". Do any of you have any info on this? Stripping the cats will yield such a bad sound? It will be great to go back to the dyno and test.

I scheduled a another dyno test for this weekend. I will find what software he is using.

Attached the Dyno Test. One of them is stock vs the finalized mods.

Enjoy,

I just purchased a pre-owned IS350 F-sport. Can this only be done in Fl? I am in Houston, TX.

As far as I know, the mod can be performed on any IS.
