Default PPE headers w/high flow cats, invidia mid pipe, invidia axleback

Currently running Invidia mid pipe and Invidia axel back exhaust with Fsport intake on my 2015 IS250. I was wondering if anyone has a similar setup along with PPE headers that could comment on the sound vs without headers. Also looking into cabin noise, drone, performance, CEL problems.

Headers make it a lot louder.. A lot.

We have PPE on ours and its damn loud lol.

Probably like 3-5 whp difference , if that.

Do you see any dampening on the exhaust note? I have the PPE headers, invidia midpipe (causing a loud rasp sound), no cats, and a manzo axleback (similar to invidia axleback, budget version). I'm debating to get high flow cats to reduce the raspiness from the midpipe.

That would help, but resonators would help more.

Gotcha, would you suggest just installing 2 resonators instead of the HF cats? And if so, what resonator brand would you suggest to maintain the throaty/aggressive exhaust note?

Resonators would improve/smooth the sound quality, but the cats would attenuate a bit more (and reduce stink!) depending on the type of resonator you get, not to mention result in a bit of power loss from the increased restriction. If you're fine with the volume level, then go resonators. Vibrant makes excellent quality ones, check out their bottles (1793 etc.).

Did you hear it before and after adding the cats, or were headers and the hi-flows done at the same time?

I would keep the headers catless and weld on Cats on the midpipe. Reason being if you have heard PPE+ Ark Catback - Ark has 2 cats and 2 resonators on and which tones out the rasp (IMO prob the best sounding full exhaust for the 3IS)

So I pulled the trigger on getting PPE high flow cats and will get them installed onto the midpipes, they’re rated to be the thickest diameter on the market so air flow should not be an issue. I’m leaving resonators as is until I see how the exhaust sound changes post installation. Will keep informed on results and may upload a link on exhaust tone. If the strong rasp exists, I’m gonna be inclined to put on additional resonators

I just watched the video of the PPE headers and ark catback, sounds unreal, pretty much the target exhaust sound I’m aiming for. See below for link.

Odd, it doesn't even sound like it has headers, just the regular ARK catback.

This might be a better depiction (see below) but the exhaust sounds amplified, probably revved in a parking garage.

So the ark grip exhaust fits perfectly into RR Racing PPE headers?
