Default Looking for Power!

I've searched and searched, but haven't found what I'm looking for yet. I just bought an 01 IS300 auto that isn't running. My goal is to swap it out with a GTE and go big single. Power goals are 600-800whp. I've talked to a few people and have decided on going with a standalone ecu, haven't narrowed it down yet, and I would love a v160, but don't have the budget for that right now. I need some info with trans, block, and other info needed to make that 600-800whp. Any info will help!

Find yourself an Aristo 2JZGTE (non-vvt or vvt-i) or 1JZGTE VVT-i that does not have a DBW throttle system (very, very late model JDM GTE's). The ProEFI 128 ECU has always had good reviews but it's expensive. The best of them for big power is the 2JZGTE VVT-i.

You could also build a 2JZ-GE block since you are planning to go single anyway.

Instead of a V160, look into a Grannas Racing Tremec Magnum 6-speed swap kit. That and the Nissan CD009 transmissions are the new alternatives to the pricey collector status V160's now.

If you were not shooting well into 800whp a JDM tripod R154 would do very well, however that does rule it out.
