2012 IS250 headlight getting haze at top of light, fixable?
My 2012 Xenon HID lights have a haze at the top of each, seems to be on the inside.
I've polished them and buffed them and they look better wet, but when they dry out that look like this....see attached pics.
It's just on the top. Let me know if there's a fix.
Thanks,
Mike

Wrong section my friend. But mine are doing the same darn thing. May need to wet sand them and throw some clear on them. I just watched a video on youtube last week and the results looked awesome.

Your headlights are oxidized from the sunlight. You need to remove the oxidation and then add a sealant/wax to prevent any oxidation.
Steps
1) Buy 3M headlight restoration kit
2) Buy 1000 grit and 2000 grit dry/wet sandpaper
3) Youtube how to do headlight restoration with 3M headlight kit and wet sanding
4) Restore headlights
5) You can add a new layer of clearcoat (I didn't go this route) OR put plastic sealant/wax on the headlights (which you need to do every 3 months or when the water doesnt bead on the headlights)

Wow, buffed them again today and then added the UV spray and they look like new.
Had no idea I had to add sunblock to my headlights.
Thanks for the advice, will keep doing every 6 months now.
Cheers!!

One other choice you can do so you dont have to redo it ever 6 months is use a headlight protection film.

I have these on my headlights and after it dries (4 weeks sometimes) it looks great and will never have oxidation or rock chipping problems again. well worth the $70.
