Not yet. I finally received an email from OVT stating that they should have it done after the Easter Holiday. It's still a no go for me. Well at least they've responded. So hopefully they get this sorted out soon.

No. I still can't get the handheld to read my ECU! It's been going on for over a month now. You're lucky that you received a working one. 👍🏼

[QUOTE=tlts82;9844324]No. I still can't get the handheld to read my ECU! It's been going on for over a month now. You're lucky that you received a working one. 👍🏼 I was finally contacted last week that it was supposed to be updated after the Easter break. I've had to wait a whole month before OVT finally responded. As of now I still have a useless handheld 👎🏼.

I don't think you get "working" ones. there is a process to get your ECU added to the database then they create tunes from your stock file. It takes a long time it seems with these guys. Took me a month and a half from the day i bought the Tuner till I got it all working. Funny part is that I now don't have time to even check it out. Hope you guys get it working soon. I still love my tune, it changes the whole feeling of the car.

Well it looks like the software developers that handle the updates are out of office until May 1st. According to OVT FB page. That means more wait time once again.

Talking It's here!

I received my tune file this morning, much sooner than anticipated . I just flashed it, is there a next step? Do you have to drive a certain mileage before it kicks in?

Thats good that you got it. Did you purchase the "Never been tuned" one? Man, I'm hoping for the best they add mine soon. It's been a long wait till now.

That's the one, $668 after all said and done. Man, I'll be on Ramen diet for a while now after this. I was expecting the same delay as BOOM3R and you encountered but for some reason it's unbelievably much faster. I told them it's a very pleasant surprise that I got it so soon, they said the reason being was that 'We have already done your ECU version a few times so we had it prepared', almost like they already have it in stock.

Sounds good. I have a few questions now that you got it working. Did they ask you about Rev limiter changes or anything like that? I would like to let them now what I wanted done to the ECU. Speed linter removed, tune for 93 octane, and Rev limited to 7200 rpm. Did they ask this stuff?

Actually I asked them about those and went with 91 octane (we only have that in my area) and raise it to 7400 rpm. I didn't mention anything about rev limiter. I fell quite a change already but they advised to put about 50 miles on the car for the fuel trims to fully set, we'll see.

Send them a facebook message (and email too to cover all bases) with the tune (s) (up to 5) that you want on the handheld. These are the options from my previous Facebook chat:

stock parts tuned + any rev limit, Full bolt on + any rev limit, FTS (stands for "Featured Transmission Shift" i.e. all transmission maps we can adjust: transmission torque output control and upshifts), and Beta E85 map

Beta E85 means it's not "perfected" yet

but works fine

Ok, would having just intake/exhaust be an issue?

not at all

but you won't get maximum benefit on E85 without headers
To clarify, FTS is a group of transmission tweaks that is essentially either all or none. Individually selecting part of it will make shift lag worse than stock.

And if you just have intake and/or exhaust, select stock parts tuned.

Also for 2IS the rev limit increase only works in Sport mode and only if you have manually limited it to the lowest possible gear and time it correctly (pull the paddle around 6500-6700rpm for 1st gear if at full throttle) - this leads to sometimes bouncing off the rev limiter if you are trying to actually shift right at the advertised new rev limit. It does not automatically shift at the new rev limit if you just floor it with the gear limiter set to 6 (or any gear other than the lowest possible gear for a given speed).
