yes. Underpressure in CA ask Matt. As long as you don't mind being without your car for several weeks to two months. Anyway I heard of a machined plate to conect the Toyota to a turbo 400 or something ask him. He may want to do the r&d on your car.? I know he was doing the Supras and he asked if I wanted it on my GS. Unfortunately it is my everyday driver.
Remember anything is possible with $$$.

mrshabo,

Like what roenick7 said, anything is possible with $$ and time. The 5-speed manual from the Toyota Tundra would be your best bet since the Tundra come with the similar V8. Since no one (or very few) have done this and it is a complete custom job, it would involve tons of custom fabrication, possibly a custom drive shaft......etc. Price would depends on whether you use brand new Toyota parts or junk yard parts and how good of a quality of the job. I would guess with all brand new parts and top notch quality. Prepare to spend $5~$10K.

After the mechanical part, you will have to sort out all the electronics, the car's main ECU is program to run an automatic drivetrain, you will need ECU from a manual Toyota, with custom made wiring harness.......etc. Long store short, pain in the butt with crazy cost, along with huge down time. You are basically doing a complete R&D on a car.

Tell us how it goes if you do decide on going with it. Best of luck

I was looking into putting a Supra 6-speed Getrag into a GS300, which is already way easier then your V8 idea since the tranny bolt onto the engine, but still need quite a bit of custom fabrication, custom driveshaft. The biggest problem is the electronic, there is no guarantee if everything will work or not. There are 2 performance shops here in Southern California willing to do it, but something like these are price no object, you can just pay as it go along. I would say if you have $20K sitting around and don't need the car for 1 year, go for it

No problem.

Doing something no one have done before is always going to be very expensive and time consuming.
